I use Think-Alouds all the time! I find that it really helps my young readers in knowing that we all think about the stories we read differently! Although they do think about it as working on comprehension it really is. They are all eager to share their thoughts with the group! It adds a lot to my class!!!

I agree! Think alouds have added so much to my class discussions this year. Students are always eager to share their opinions and thoughts to the whole class. And, I think I should definitely be using them more throughout the year!
ReplyDeleteIt also works with high school students, but you have to be creative with how you format it or else you can get little participation....
